Soon we will update our distribution model to comply with Apple’s guidelines for app distribution. This means that we will publish a new app to be used instead of the one you are using today. We will install the new app (with the same functionality) on your iPads for you and ensure that all your settings are transferred.
What will happen?
Caspeco is changing the distribution model for our POS app to comply with Apple’s guidelines.
What will be different?
No difference in functionality – the app is identical to the one you use today. For now, we will continue using Meraki to install updates, so the only change is that you will switch to a new app.
When will the change take place?
The migration to the new app will start in early December 2025 and continue into early 2026.
What do you need to do?
- You will receive an additional app distributed to your POS device — marked with “NEW”.
- In the old app, press “Take me to the new app” to complete the switch.
- Done! The functionality remains the same, only the distribution method is new.
Why are we doing this?
To ensure a stable, secure, and future-proof distribution in line with Apple’s guidelines.
