The design of the e-signing has been updated both when starting the e-signing and in settings. Now the parties are displayed from left to right based on the order in which they access the document. The order can be changed using drag-and-drop (click on the arrow icon, drag and drop at the desired location). It has been clarified what role the parties involved in an e-signing have. It is also possible to choose a user other than yourself (the initiator) as the main signer. The roles available are:
Main signer/Document owner – The company representative who signs e.g. employment contracts with his or her signature in the document (in addition to any digital code). By default, this is the person who initiates the signing, but it is now possible to switch from oneself to another user.
Signer – Someone who signs the document but who is not the main signer. The role that the employee has if he/she is supposed to sign the document.
Viewer – Receives the document in order to review it. Does not sign and does not prevent a signer with a higher sequence number from proceeding with their signing.
To improve security around document access, we have introduced a new Identification method:
This controls whether the parties involved in the e-signing need to identify themselves with an SMS code to access the document or not. Caspeco recommends using an SMS code. This setting can only be changed per individual signing and company representatives must identify themselves with an SMS code regardless of the setting.
We have now simplified the settings in the identity cards. Some dropdown menus have been changed to radio buttons and for these we have changed the default setting. The different settings are:
Invitation method/Notification method – Formerly called ‘Invitation’. Controls whether the invitation to sign, and the sending of information about the signing, should be by e-mail, SMS or both. Following the redesign, the way the invitation method works has changed and with that everyone’s setting has been defaulted to e-mail. If you want to change this, you can do so in the settings.
Signing method – Formerly called ‘Identification method’. Controls whether or not there should be a requirement for the person to confirm their signature with an SMS code.
